Marketing solutions small business owners can outsource

Updated: Aug 6, 2020

Is it time to delegate?

Running your own business is very liberating, you can’t beat being your own boss and achieving a good work-life balance.

As well as doing what you love, business owners also need to keep on top of the marketing, bookkeeping, social media, website maintenance, graphic design and customer relations. Not to mention having family time and a social life, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything!

As you grow, you may need to outsource. Time spent on marketing, is time taken away from growing your business.

Some jobs can be automated, there are a number of great software solutions available for repetitive tasks. But not everything lends itself well to full automation, e.g. you can schedule your social media posts using Hootsuite, but someone needs to create the content first.

Here are just a few ideas of what you could outsource;

Event marketing

This is my specialist area. If you are thinking of running a workshop, webinar or training programme, I will put together a bespoke marketing strategy for your event(s).

I offer a range of digital marketing solutions, so all we need to do is work out which bits you would like help with.

CRMs

If you don't already have one, I will research Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and set one up for you. A CRM makes keeping in touch with your clients and prospects so much easier. All participant details are stored in one place, so communicating webinar details and information about future events becomes a doddle as much of it can be automated.

Blog writing

Have you thought about adding a blog to your website, but never got round to it? I can research subjects and content you may wish to blog about, give you advice on layout and content so that you can start to use your blog as part of your marketing strategy. Having a blog is a valuable asset, it provides more information about you and your experience, gives detail about how your business works and it will also boost your SEO.

This isn't a definitive list, so please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions. hello@claireshelley.co.uk

Benefits of working with a contractor

The beauty of working with a freelancer is that it offers you more flexibility.

You don't need to worry about the size of the project. I work with a variety of clients so the smaller ad hoc projects fit in perfectly with my regular clients.

If you’d like to use your time more productively, I offer a free Skype or Zoom consultation to discuss how we might work together.
