Introduction
As this is my first foray into the world of blogging, I'll start with a little introduction. I've spent my whole career working in Learning and Development. I worked for a large, local communications company co-ordinating their in-house Management Development training, followed by the next eight years in London arranging and promoting seminars and training courses in the Education and Finance sectors. There was some travel involved (far less glamorous than it sounds), but I enjoyed seeing the end product of what was weeks or sometimes months of planning.
I love helping people, it's part of my why. There's nothing more valuable than helping people grow and being in an industry where facilitators and coaches are making a real difference is fulfilling place to be.
After some time out to raise our children, it was the right time for me to return to work. But finding a job that offered enough flexibility proved difficult, so I decided to take the plunge and go self-employed. It was exciting and scary in equal measure, but the best career decision I’ve made. I am able to continue to do the work I love, but as a freelancer, I can work the hours that suit me.
Working with business owners
As a business owner myself, I understand most of the challenges faced. Foremost, when you own your own business, there are never enough hours in the day! My motivation is helping you to grow your business with strategic marketing solutions.
I like to get out of the house and meet local clients over a coffee, but I do the majority of my work via Zoom.
