How To Protect Your Facebook Ad Account

An increase in scam messages has been observed over the past few months.

And I don't want you to fall into any of their traps!

The scammers are getting more sophisticated and when they do make contact, their communications can look very convincing.

As business owners, there are many positives that we can leverage from utilising the Facebook platform, but we must stay vigilant in protecting our account security.

To help you identify what a scam message might look like, I've included a screenshot below.

It's important to note that Meta never sends emails or direct messages about account restrictions.

Should you receive a message like this 👇 DON'T CLICK ON ANY BUTTONS OR LINKS.

Also refrain from clicking any suspicious links on your wall, in shared posts, etc.

If you suspect that there is a problem with your account, the best thing to do is log into your Ads Manager.

Here are some steps that you can take to keep your ad account and marketing assets safe:

🔒 Use two-factor authentication on your accounts (Google Authenticator or DuoMobile)

🔒 Set up a Facebook Business Manager

🔒 Create a second ad account with different payment details as a backup

🔒 Assign a trusted person to be an admin on your Business Manager, so that if you’re ever locked out, you’ll still have a way to access everything

If you have any questions or need assistance setting up any of the above, I'm here to help! hello@claireshelley.co.uk

Why not share this with someone who will find it helpful?
