How to find the right support for your Training or Coaching Business

Are you thinking about outsourcing but, not too sure where to start?

Virtual Assistants are small business owners (not to be confused with AI virtual assistants such as Siri or Alexa!). Most VAs have a background in administration and business support, but these foundation skills are where the similarities end. VAs do not all provide the same service.

When hiring a VA you are looking for relevant experience. A VA who has worked in your industry will come with prior knowledge of your world and know what is expected from the type of work you do and will have transferable skills.

There are VAs with a background in most areas; legal, medical, PR, marketing, website design, finance etc, you just need to select a VA that is right for your business needs.

Read through their LinkedIn profile, learn about their career and background. See what others have said about them in testimonials. Testimonials are a powerful asset, they provide an insight from people who have already worked with them and will highlight their strengths and expertise.

VAs typically use social media as a marketing platform. You can use this to research them further, look at their website and social media profiles. This will tell you what they specialise in and who they like to support. All VAs have a niche and play to their strengths.

Do you like what you see? Do the things they talk about resonate with you?

If you attend networking meetings, perhaps you already know a VA. If they do not have the right expertise or do not have the capacity to help, it is likely that they will be able to recommend someone who can.

Finding the right VA is a very personal thing, you need to find someone who you are comfortable with sharing your most confidential business information and finances, so go with your instinct!
